Global warming, and our part in it, has been almost universally recognised. Our overuse of fossil fuels has led to a potential crisis within our atmosphere. Is there anything we can do to stop this? We can at least slow down the process by being aware of what we are doing, saving energy where possible and encouraging the production and use of alternative, “clean” sources of energy.

We are also responsible for many other types of pollution. Land fill sites for our rubbish, chemical pollution from manufacturing processes — we are bad at tidying up after ourselves. Many things now come in smaller packages, which are biodegradable, and governments and companies are realising that it is in their long term interests to fund clean ups. To some extent the green conscience is reaching big businesses.
